I'm a student interested in young adult services, as well as reference, user interfaces and information technology in general. I'm in my second semester at SJSU SLIS. I live in San Francisco and work part-time as a library assistant. I'm excited about teen librarianship, and hope to learn from this group and have the opportunity to network.

Favorite thing about librarianship:

The values of intellectual freedom, anti-censorship, and open access for all. I also just like talking to people about books and knowing how to help people find the best information. I love showing people how to use computers, especially if they've hardly touched one before.

What is the biggest issue facing libraries today:

Lack of funding.
