Favorite thing about librarianship:

Meeting interesting people that I've learned more from than I ever expected. When I worked circulation, I learned something new every day from the patrons. Being encouraged to read great books. Helping the public find information that is important to them, even if it's just the latest DVD. I love teenagers excitement about books right now.
