Ideas for Summer Reading Program

I'm working on a project for my practicum to help develop the summer reading program for teens. I have a few ideas bouncing around in my head and wonder what types of programs have gone over well in your library?

One idea is to have a manga sort of theme.

Teens's idol is a program that teens seem to response to. Although a few are shy about getting in front
of a microphone and sing, others really enjoy it. Of course if you have some sort of refreshments or baked goods teens will always attend. Good luck.
