Hi all, I'm Linda Braun the new Convener for the YALSA Student Special Interest Group. For the past 12 years I've worked on my own as an independent technology consultant. My primary focus in my business is helping libraries/librarians work successfully with teens.
I also teach for Simmons College GSLIS. At the moment I teach face-to-face and online classes on technology in school library media centers, YA programs and services, and web development. I'm also the blog manager for YALSA.
I'm really excited to be working with the group and am looking forward to hearing the ideas you all have for how YALSA can support students. Over the past couple of weeks I've been reading and thinking about the results of the YALSA LIS student survey. Have any of you looked at the survey? What do you think about the results? Any ideas for what YALSA should do next now that the results are available?
I'd love to hear from you about how YALSA can help support LIS students and your ideas for this group.
